My name is Randall Hall, and I am a University of North Texas Alumnus. I graduated from UNT in August 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Through completing my degree, I have taken courses in the following areas: program development, linear algebra, analysis, multivariate calculus, applied statistics, and mathematical modeling. In the mentioned courses, I gained familiarity with several concepts used in data analysis/data science such as: computer science fundamentals, set theory, matrix operations, partial derivatives, and hypothesis testing.
After graduating with a mathematics degree, I’ve taken the opportunity to teach myself Python, R, and SQL (using DataQuest) to help me launch my career in data analytics. In order to synthesize the concepts learned through Dataquest, I have created an extensive amount of projects and hosted them on my GitHub. In addition, I have been coding off and on for 3-4 years; therefore, I’m fairly confident in my ability to complete any SQL or Python exercise as it relates to data analytics.
Currently, I work at Dataquest where I work on the content team helping with low-to-medium effort content tasks such as adding custom hints, takeaways, and fixing content bugs. I am also an internal analyst for Dataquest doing internal data science for the content team.
When I am not busy working or improving my programming skills, I enjoy listening to various types of music, assisting those who need help in mathematics, and playing Pokémon GO.

Adaptable Life is full of curve balls, and plans change all the time. I am highly flexible and mentally prepare for every possible change that could occur at any time. In addition to flexibility, I embrace the sudden change and look forward to work in the new direction. |
